Centennial events at Jehovah Lutheran Church are spread across the 2023-2024 year.
There are five special services throughout the year, beginning Reformation Sunday, 29 October 2023. Each of these Sundays highlight events in a 20 year period: 1920s-1930s, 1940s-1950s, and so on. Special dates are listed below. We encourage all past and present members and friends of Jehovah to attend the Sunday divine service on these special days of celebration. Jehovah Lutheran Church was established in 1923 and joined the Missouri Synod (LCMS) in 1924, which makes five special Sundays spread throughout the year very appropriate.
The special dates are:
1) Reformation Sunday on 29 October 2023: This was the “kick-off” Sunday. This Sunday focused on the history of the church in the 1920s and 30s.
